Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Calcuvelo website at calcuvelo.com and the calculators and content it provides (the "Service"). By using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. The Service

Calcuvelo provides free, browser-based calculators and accompanying educational articles about personal finance and economics. The Service is provided for general informational purposes only.

2. Not financial, investment, tax or legal advice

Nothing on the Service constitutes financial, investment, accounting, tax, or legal advice, a recommendation, or an offer or solicitation to buy or sell any security or financial product. The calculators apply standard formulas to the assumptions you provide and cannot account for your complete financial situation. You should consult a qualified, licensed professional before making any financial decision. Any action you take based on the Service is at your own risk.

3. Accuracy and assumptions

We aim to implement each formula correctly and document the math on every calculator page. However, results depend entirely on the inputs and assumptions you choose, and real-world outcomes — future interest rates, investment returns, inflation, tax rules, and fees — are uncertain and will differ. Results are estimates, not predictions or guarantees. We do not warrant that the Service is error-free and may correct or change calculations at any time.

4. "As is" — no warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or free of errors, viruses or other harmful components.

5. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Calcuvelo and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, savings, data, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of (or inability to use) the Service, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us to use the Service (which is normally zero) or USD 50.

The Service's name, design, text, and original code are owned by Calcuvelo or its licensors and are protected by intellectual-property laws. You may use the calculators for your personal, non-commercial purposes. Underlying financial formulas are general knowledge and are not claimed as proprietary.

8. Advertising and third-party links

The Service displays third-party advertising and may link to third-party websites and services. We do not control and are not responsible for third-party content, products, or practices. 9. Changes to the Service and Terms

We may add, change, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time. We may also update these Terms; the "Last updated" date will change and continued use after a change means you accept the revised Terms.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the Service operator is established, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Courts located in that jurisdiction will have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute, subject to any mandatory consumer-protection rights you have where you live.
