Privacy Policy
Last updated: 2 September 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Calcuvelo ("we", "us", the "Site" at calcuvelo.com) handles information when you use our calculators. By using the Site you agree to this policy.
1. The short version
- We do not require an account and we do not ask you for personal information to use the calculators.
- The numbers you type into a calculator are processed entirely in your browser. They are never sent to us or stored on a server.
- We show third-party advertising, which may set cookies. You can opt out of personalised ads — see section 4.
- If you use the contact form, the details you submit are sent to our form provider so we can reply to you.
2. Information you enter into calculators
Every calculator on this Site runs as client-side JavaScript. Values such as balances, salaries, interest rates and ages are used only to compute results and draw charts on your device. This data is not transmitted to us, not logged, and not stored beyond your current browser session. Closing or reloading the page clears it.
3. Information collected automatically
Like most websites, our hosting provider and our advertising and analytics partners may automatically receive standard technical information when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type, device type, referring page, and the pages you view. This information is used to serve the Site, measure aggregate traffic, and display and cap advertising. We do not use it to identify you personally.
4. Advertising cookies (Google AdSense and partners)
We use Google AdSense to display ads. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites.
- Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this Site and/or other sites on the internet.
- You may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings.
- You can opt out of a third party's use of cookies for personalised advertising at aboutads.info/choices and youronlinechoices.eu (EU).
- For more on how Google uses data from sites that use its services, see Google's Partner Sites policy.
If you are in a region that requires consent for non-essential cookies (such as the EEA or UK), a consent prompt will ask for your choices before such cookies are set, and you can change your choices at any time.
5. Analytics
We may use a privacy-friendly analytics service to understand aggregate traffic patterns (for example, which calculators are most used). Any such analytics are configured to avoid collecting personally identifiable information and do not track you across other websites.
6. The contact form
Our Contact page uses a third-party form processor (Formspree) to deliver your message to us by email. The name, email address, subject and message you submit are transmitted to and stored by that provider and by our email inbox so we can respond. We use these details only to reply to your enquiry and do not sell them or use them for marketing.
7. Data retention
Calculator inputs are never retained. Server and advertising logs are retained by the respective providers according to their own policies. Contact-form messages are kept only as long as needed to handle your enquiry and our records of it.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict the processing of personal information we hold about you, and to object to certain processing or withdraw consent. Because the only personal data we directly hold is what you send us through the contact form, you can exercise these rights by emailing us (section 11). For data held by our advertising partners, use the opt-out links in section 4 or contact those providers directly. California residents have rights under the CCPA/CPRA; we do not sell personal information for money.
9. Children
The Site is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
10. Security & third-party links
We take reasonable measures to protect information transmitted through the Site, but no method of transmission over the internet is completely secure. The Site links to and embeds services operated by third parties (such as advertising and font providers); their handling of your information is governed by their own privacy policies.
11. Changes and contact
We may update this policy from time to time; the "Last updated" date above will change accordingly. Material changes will be highlighted on this page. Questions about this policy can be sent to Calcuvelo@gmail.com or through our Contact page.
